Help with the Fanwatch iPhone app, and how to reach us.

What Fanwatch does. Play an episode or film out loud, tap Find my place, and Fanwatch works out what you are watching and where you are, then follows along with trivia and notes as each scene comes up. It is an unofficial fan companion and is not associated with or endorsed by any show, studio, broadcaster, rights holder or author.

It cannot find my place. Make sure the sound is coming out of a speaker the phone can hear, not headphones, and turn it up a little. Give it a few lines of dialogue; music and quiet scenes are harder. If the app never asks to listen, open Settings, then Fanwatch, and switch on Microphone and Speech Recognition.

Watching with headphones. Tap Or choose it yourself, pick the title, then tap the time at the top and type the time shown on your player. Fanwatch follows along from there.

A fact is wrong. Tap the fact, then Report. Every report is read, and a fact that is wrong comes down.

Suggesting a fact. Tap + while you watch, then tap Know a fact about this scene? Suggest it for everyone. Every suggestion is reviewed before anyone else sees it.

Deleting your data. Your notes and reactions live only on your phone, so deleting the app deletes them. To remove a fact you suggested, email us with the fact. See the privacy policy for the details.
